Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) married Hazrat Khadijah bint-e-Khuwaylid in 595 AD and gave birth to a daughter Bibi Fatima al-Zahra (AS) in 605 AD.
Bibi Fatima al-Zahra (AS) married Imam Ali Murtaza ibn-e-Abu Talib (AS). Their children were Hazrat Imam Hasan (AS), Imam Hussain (AS), Bibi Zainab, & Bibi Kulsoom while Imam Mohsin was martyred in Bibi Fatima al-Zahra’s womb
We the “SYED” are the descendants of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), his daughter Bibi Fatima al-Zahra (AS) & through her Children & Grandchildren.
While our surname “Abidi” belongs to the offspring of Prophet Muhammad’s (AS) great grandson Hazrat Imam Ali ibn Hussain (SA) Aka Syed Zain-ul-Abidin Abidi’sare the direct bloodline of Hazrat Syed Zain-ul-Abidin through Imamzada Syed Abdul Bahar ibn-e-Imam Zainul Abideen & Bibi Umme Abdullah Fatima.

Before starting the narration of my family ancestry, an introduction of myself is in order for the readers; My name is Ali Murtaza Ibn-e Syed Amir Abbas Abidi resident of the state of Texas, USA.
There are some members in this ancestry who may be familiar with my nickname “Pasha”.
Some of my ancestors can be traced to Saharanpur, which is in the northernmost districts of Uttar Pradesh State of India. After 1947 (Post partition period), some of the Abidi clan settled in different parts of Pakistan such as Lahore, Islamabad, Pindi Bhatian, Sargodha, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Khairpur, Bhakkar, Chakwal and Karachi while others stayed back in India and are scattered in Saharanpur, Nownata, and other parts of India.
It is a matter of great importance that before we continue, I should mention here that major research contributions were made by my cousin Syed Muhammad Ala Abidi ibn-e- Syed Rehman Raza Abidi (late) of Faisalabad, Pakistan.
For the record, my cousin Syed Muhammed Ala Abidi has already contributed 2 family tree books. One dedicated to his father Syed Rehman Raza Abidi S/o Syed Zaigham Hussain Abidi and the other to his grandmother Syeda Nisar Fatima D/o Syed Mubarak Hussain Zaidi.
The purpose of collecting and sharing this genealogy is not only to educate our future “Syed” generation, our family “Abidi” ancestry but also to request them to include us in their future Fateha’s.
